  • As part of my graduate design thesis at Pratt, I created DesignJam, an event intended to recreate the high energy, high output, highly collaborative atmosphere of team-based working and peer-learning characteristic of start-ups and hack-a-thons. It was a prototype for team-based collaborative design education. By bringing together creative individuals with different backgrounds, including developers, designers, marketers, and strategists the hope was to foster more collaboration, spark innovation and find inspiration for better solutions.

From pitching real world clients to finding event space, recruiting participants from schools in the New York area, and securing a panel of judges while putting together the branding, the entire prototype came together in a span of 2 weeks.
